Mastery System

Mastery is how you progress through districts. Each district has three tiers — Bronze, Silver, and Gold — each requiring you to complete all district missions a set number of times and awarding escalating rewards.

How It Works

  1. Complete all missions in a district once → Bronze mastery
  2. Complete all missions again → Silver mastery
  3. Complete all missions a third time → Gold mastery

Each tier completion immediately awards:

  • A set of items (shown in the district’s mastery reward table)
  • A bonus money payment
  • A bonus XP payment
  • 2 Honor Points for Gold tier only

Unlocking the Next District

Districts unlock when you achieve Bronze mastery in the previous district and reach the required level:

DistrictUnlock Requirement
Ashikawa VillageLevel 1 (starting district)
SapporoBronze in Ashikawa Village + Level 4
AomoriBronze in Sapporo + Level 7
EdoBronze in Aomori + Level 10
KyotoBronze in Edo + Level 14
OsakaBronze in Kyoto + Level 19
Ryukyu IslandsBronze in Osaka + Level 24
Shadow RealmBronze in Ryukyu Islands + Level 29

You can run missions in any previously-unlocked district at any time — useful for farming items or grinding mastery completions.

Mastery Rewards

Each district’s mastery reward page lists the specific items awarded at each tier. Generally:

  • Bronze rewards introduce 2–3 of the new district’s key items
  • Silver rewards more of the same items with larger quantities
  • Gold rewards the highest quantities and any bonus cash/XP

See individual district pages for exact reward tables.

Tips

  • Silver and Gold mastery are optional — you only need Bronze to unlock the next district. However, the item rewards from Silver/Gold are often required for later missions.
  • Chaos Storm (needed for Shadow Realm missions) drops only from Shadow Realm mastery — you must run mastery tiers within Shadow Realm to get enough copies.
  • Shadow Seals appear in Ryukyu Islands mastery rewards and are consumed by multiple Shadow Realm missions. Complete Ryukyu mastery tiers before pushing into Shadow Realm.
  • Mastery resets your mission completion count for that district — you cannot bank partial progress across tiers.
